Repertoire
Our Current Programmes
We offer a wide range of repertoire including several set programmes, but also ‘pick and mix’ to suit the occasion. Some examples of current programmes being performed are:-
Sounds Romantic
Flirtation, temptation, betrayal, despair and fulfilment - these age-old aspects of romance are portrayed in this programme for wind quintet. Some music is very familiar, from the operas of Bizet, Mozart and Verdi, and there are also pieces by Elgar, Grainger, Grieg and Johann Strauss the audience may know, all linked together in a narrative to kindle the listener’s imagination and perhaps evoke fond memories.
Children’s Hour
For youngsters of any age, featuring Dvorak’s Carnival of the Animals, Debussy’s Petite Suite and Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, with narration - not forgetting Teddy Bears’ Picnic!
